When Helen aged 62 started training her greatest fear was that she would suffer more pain than she was experiencing. Although not debilitating Helen thought that exercise would make it worse. Her initial comments to me were “I don’t want to suffer more pain”. Fourteen months later, Helen has greater balance and feels more confident and to her surprise has developed muscle that she thought could not be achieved. Helen has integrated regular exercise into her health management regime and continues to see progress in her general health.
